Soulcade Interactive is an independent game studio that aims to explore fun ideas that we couldn’t get cleared if we were some big shot AAA company.
Soulcade Interactive was unofficially started in a Burger King parking lot by Nabil Sekirime, when he decided at the ripe old age of 19 (with an impressive 10 years worth of YouTube tutorial follow-alongs, game jams, and prototypes/short games (as +5 Charisma Games) that he wanted to be a serious indie game developer.
Super Hamster Havoc
When Nabil transferred to UCF, he attended a game jam where he pitched making a local multiplayer battle royale where hamsters fight to the death with guns as a joke. Chris and Marco (two other attendees) thought I was serious, and so we made a local multiplayer battle royale with hamsters in 3 days, and decided we wanted to keep going with it…
So that’s exactly what we did, and a college degree, a pandemic, a few demos at local events and GDC parties, and multiple engine switches later we have Super Hamster Havoc, a top down twinstick arena shooter with hamsters.
